Extension to House, Meltham (2020)
The brief for this project was to extend the existing 'tired' property, to provide ground bedroom, bathroom and study facilities all offering views into the garden. The proposals also needed to incorporate a replacement for the old conservatory. Due to the layout of the house on the plot the resulting scheme involved two separate extensions, both with their own identity but linked by way of design and materials. The bedroom extension is designed with windows exhibiting a vertical emphasis and pitched roof. The other extension carefully combines flat and pitched roofs housing a sun room and study, along with a new, more usable, entrance into the property. The scheme successfully meets the brief transforming the house into a light and spacious property, meeting the client's specific requirements.
