We wanted a contemporary extension to an old stone house; Paul and his team provided a friendly, original and timely service. He worked well with our chosen builder to deliver a beautiful, light-filled, well planned and pleasant home. We were most impressed with the finished result, as was the building inspector as he suggested that it should be submitted for an architectural award! Well done and thank you Paul.
Colders Extension
Extensions Meltham, Huddersfield 2020
The brief for this project was to extend the existing 'tired' property, to provide a ground bedroom, bathroom, and study facilities all offering views into the garden. The proposals also needed to incorporate a replacement for the old conservatory. Due to the layout of the house on the plot the resulting scheme involved two separate extensions, both with their own identity but linked by way of design and materials. The bedroom extension is designed with windows exhibiting a vertical emphasis and a pitched roof. The other extension carefully combines flat and pitched roofs housing a sunroom and study, along with a new, more usable, entrance into the property. The scheme successfully meets the brief by transforming the house into a light and spacious property, meeting the client's specific requirements.
