Gomersal Replacement Dwelling

After 14 months of planning negotiations, the practice achieved planning permission for a replacement contemporary dwelling. The design features a pronounced entrance hallway with a first-floor gallery and skylight above. To the rear, two glazed apex gables project out with feature balconies taking advantage of the extensive views across the valley towards Huddersfield. Building regulation drawings have now been approved and works on site are progressing quickly with the use of a steel frame system.

Embarking on a self-build journey of any size is a daunting task and therefore the choice of the right firm of architects becomes paramount. From the very start Paul and NDP shared our vision and showed passion for the project. In my eyes that is what makes the difference. This though is all well and good, but the real test of professionalism comes not in fancy offices, frosted glass and nice coffee, but in real world support to overcome real world issues when you hit the inevitable bumps in the road that self-build brings. NDP delivered. One works very closely with an architect throughout your project and knowing that you have professionals who care about your project as passionately as you do is a real comfort. We found this in NDP…. And the coffee wasn’t bad either.
